Yesterday I told you that I wrote a book about how to be married happily and successfully but few have bought it. It is a simple formula. Follow the steps and be happily married in three months or more. I thought it would sell like hotcakes. Thousands of books have been published to help couples be happier or stay married. They haven’t been successful either. Why? American people loathe doing exercises. All they want to do is read the book, toss it aside and exclaim, “I told you it wouldn’t work!”
If the couple would do what the author says do at a precise moment, all those books would be successful. Now the market is being flooded with online courses promising marital success. This is one way counselors have chosen to use their best counseling skills instead of accepting $40 a session. Why are even these not successful in bringing about happy, loving, successfully intimate relationships and marriages? Let me illustrate by talking about my online course that is successful.
“Let Me Teach You How to be Married Successfully in 22 Weeks.” One doesn’t read through this course. The couple meets with me on Zoom for 22 one-hour courses that I teach. The first class is where I teach the couple why they fell in love and continue to love each other. I have yet to find a couple who knows the real reasons. Learning them is like pouring Love Super Glue between them for a long and loving life.
The second class teaches the couple how to listen. This is the most tedious of the lessons but without it the relationship will be even longer and more tedious. This twenty-two week course teaches a couple how to be successful in their love relationship. It is the best wedding present parents can buy their children soon to be married. In this society where divorce is expected, children are disoriented regularly and in laws lose visiting rights when the Ex decides, teaching a couple how to be married and stable is a godsend.
