I feel sad that so many people are afraid of everything. That is a miserable way to live. And I feel happy that I have learned how to use therapy to take away their fears. Feeling afraid of everything makes one think that the problem is so huge that nobody could help overcome their fears, but that is not true. What causes persistent fears are usually just three or four events blown out of proportion. Effective treatment is the person’s willingness to answer questions and talk about events of the past. I am not the kind of therapist that asks one to talk about mother and early childhood. Instead I enjoin you in conversation about why you think you fear this or that.
