Emotions for Personal Success

The first step toward Personal Success is to understand one’s emotions. We think we know which emotion we are expressing. We are usually wrong. What one emotion signifies for one person it does not for another. Most people want to believe that they are most always displaying the emotion of happiness. Wrong again. Too often what others hear is sadness, anger, fear, helplessness, hopelessness or shame. Our emotions control both our behavior and the words we express. Attainment of any personal success demands that the person fully understand his or her emotions so as to express what is actually felt.
